Yeah if you get actually get the bolts off in one piece, and then save the flange and buy a new gasket... then hope the hanger is in the same place.... and.. oh just take it somewhere, they'll do it in an hour and charge you like 50-70 bucks

Re: How much will a muffler shop charge?

$350-400 stainless 2.5" exhaust from the cat back with a muffler installed. $300 if you provide the muffler, we fab everything up for you.

Re: How much will a muffler shop charge?

fyi... that pacesetter exhaust is garbage. Your going to get a black painted mild steel exhaust, which if you run it in the winter, its going to rust out. If midas was going to get you Stainless steel, thats one helleuva good deal. Remember, in this game, you get what you pay for.

Re: How much will a muffler shop charge?

Confused..Flowmaster is aluminized steel also. From their site:

These systems feature mandrel bent 16 gauge aluminized steel tubing, either weld-on or flanged inlet pipe/pipes, specially tuned muffler, clamps, hangers and stainless steel exhaust tip exiting in the factory location either under the bumper, or through the valance at the rear of the vehicle.</SPAN>

Re: How much will a muffler shop charge?

Just for some ideas for yourself....

This is the one off custom install on my car that we did at our shop...

Pacesetter armor coated header, 2.5" Stainless steel tubing, 2.5" in/out hi-flo cat, 2 magnaflow street series mufflers, and i'm adding a 18" resonator this spring when the car comes out of storage.

Don't remind me... There is NONE on the body itself, only on the under body, and subframe. I've babied the shit out of this car, the last 3 winters it saw. 02, 03, and 04. Since it was driving in NY, they like to use a lot of salt on the roads. Thus why the under carriage has suffered. One of these days, i am going to spray it all with a rhino lining spray.
