prelude engine

i was told that the engines in the 91 preludes were specialliy made that if the timing belt breaks, then it doesn't affect the rest of the engine (bending the valves, etc) like the other models. is this true?

I've actually heard that about h22's, if the t-belt breaks and you're not in VTEC when it happens, the valves are still usable.

Re: prelude engine

it doesn't matter, its an interference engine meaning at any rpm if the belt snaps you have the chance of valves being bent among other damage
