WE had gotten our tranny rebuilt almost 2 years ago June,and in the past 4 months,my shifter up top,has not worked properly.
It doesnt want to stop in park,and slips between "N" and OD. I have had to use my "E" brake to stop it from rolling. simple tightening inside the engine compatment has not helped it.
Yesterday,my Shifter on the column,broke.
I could not find anything about it in the Chiltons book I have. Does anyone know if its related to the tranny getting rebuilt,and how hard is it going to be to fix it?
This car became a nightmare agter the car hit 98k miles,tranny,electrical box in front,rear tire d/s locked up on me this winter,just so much.I have too much in it now to junk it,so Im going to keep fixing what I can.
Any help with the shifter would be appreciated.IT just hangs in there now,in the boot,wobbling,undrivable...
