Alternator replacement for 98 Olds Silhouette

Are there any tricks to this? It just took my hubby 3 hrs to remove it and wanted to maybe help him with the new one.

Re: Alternator replacement for 98 Olds Silhouette

No quick fixes. Best advice I can give is if your going to do it yourself, rotate the engine as far as possible forward or if the task is too hard, take it to someone to do. As of yesterday my stupid van has gone through 3 alternators in the past two years and no one can figure out why.
