94 S10 Melting Spark Plug Boots

I've melted 3 sets of plugs, ac delco and accel at the bottom of the boots. I'm just wondering if there is a plate under the injectors that keeps the spark plug wire boots cool. I've seen em on silverado's in this year. But the vortec engine is much different. I don't even know what they call em. Spark plug heat shields? The reason I don't see em on the vortec might be due to corrosion. I wanna purchase new online. But no one seems to know what I'm talking about. Any suggestions on the part name. If not I'm gonna have to go high performance fiberglass sleeves. Which cost 37 bucks for 6.
