Talking 153,000 Miles! WOOHOO!!!

I know that most people like to post their rad mods dyno readings and fastest 1/4 mile tilmes or 60ft times.

I would like to do that as well but basically my GTP is stock. But here is a pic of it going up the cajon Pass in So Cal when the odometer turned 153,000 miles.

Non original parts on the car are 1 Sears Die-hard, 4 KYB shock/struts, front axle shaft/CV units and 2 window motor/controller units. Those are the only parts that did not come on the car when it bought it new in 2000. It has been extremely dependable! Plus the tires of course!

Nothing exciting really in all those miles. Clocked by the CHP doing 127MPH out in antelope valley, luckily I got out of getting a ticket.

Best stoplight loss -to a 1993 Mustang Cobra. Damn that thing was fast.
Latest kill- 2006 Altima 3.5

I rarely get bested at a light, LOVE this car! Of course I try not to pick on sure losses either.

I think this has got to be one of my favorite cars I've ever owned!

Kudos to Pontiac! Just wanted to share my car.

nice. I love my Pontiac Grand Prix SE 3.1L V6, even though theres really nothing to special about it. Just beena a dependable car for my mom, then she gave it to me. IM 16 and happy to have a nice car like that, its got 111,500miles on it, hope to make it to about 200,000+miles, cause in the spring im doing alot of maintence and changing some worn out parts

Good job, but she should have a bunch of life left in her. My 97 GP gt just hit 214,000. Just had to replace the intake gasket. First time the motor has given me any troubles. Keep putting the miles on her!

Re: 153,000 Miles! WOOHOO!!!

Wow, my 02' grand prix 3.1 only has about 71,XXX miles on it and I just did a lower intake manifold gasket job on it (and now it runs like a million dollars ) That gives me hope that my car will be around for a while. When i bought my car it was just plain white so about a week or two after buying the car i had to personalize it to make it my own.

Greatest feeling when everything is running great. I think i need to get my intake gaskets changed, due to leaking of a redish liquad on exterior of tranny, i belive its my coolent dripping.

My sig has some of the miles I've racked up on GPs. They are niced cars. I like your black one, very sweet.
