Serpentine belt tensioner removal 99 3.2L
This is a cross post from my Crank bolt removal post. I am chanigng my timing belt and have one last bolt on the t belt lower cover to remove. It lives behind the tensioner. I have removed the ear bolts but can't budge it. The center Allen bolt in the swing arm appears to just hold the spring in place and compressed. MY Haynes manual doesn't address removal of this part at all. Am I missing something obvious?? Can anyone help?
Thanks, Darwin |

Re: Serpentine belt tensioner removal 99 3.2L
I also replaced the timing belt on my 98 Isuzu Rodeo V6. I would just remove the middle bolt on the tensioner I bealive is a size 8mm Allen. That's all it takes! Let me know if U run into more issues. FYI- It seems as if the bolt is compressing the spring but is not.
