Cigarette Lighter

Hi,
I have a radar dector that plugs into my cigarette lighter. Is there a way so that when i turn the car off the Cigarette lighter or the one on the passanger side turns off automatical?

you can cut the hot wire to the cigar lighter and splice it to the hot wire for the radio. a radar dector is a relativly low draw, but i'd put an inline fuse into the circuit also so if you plug in a high amp device like a power inverter you don't knock out your radio. also be aware that the radio has two hot wires, one is always on to maintain your clock and program settings.
