Shameless pics of my newly lifted XJ.

3.25" lift in front. 3.75" lift in back.
Ive had TJ Canyon wheels for years, I was concerned that I wouldnt like the black steel wheels but I wanted less back spacing. I think I like them.

Oh, hell yeah man! She's looking very nice... I really like the stance from the rear being a little higher.

One question though. What the sh*t is that big Warn winch doing on what appears to be the stock bumper!? lol What exactly have you got going on there? I really wanna know!

Thanx, I like the look with the rear a little taller also but Im afraid that when its loaded down with gear, itll sit lower in the rear.
Heres the deal with the winch and stock bumper. http://www.detoursusa.com/xjbackbone.php
I like the look of the stock bumper. Its a pretty nice and stout setup.

Looks great Ray...

You are definitely going to be ready for Utah...

Just a tip...I took the clips off of my rear springs for more flex....just the ones in back and the bottom one in front. Now it is higher when unloaded but pretty level when loaded. It rides better but a little "flexier" feeling on the road.

Are those 31's or bigger?

Re: Shameless pics of my newly lifted XJ.

Does that winch and light setup affect your radiator flow...read "cooling"..??

The rear leafs have the bolt style spring holders so the they arent tight to the springs. I was building a set of bastard springs using S10 leafs but I couldnt get them just right and wanted to get the project done so I broke down and bought a pair of ProCrap 3.5" springs. For what I payed (189/pr), they seem to be decent quality but time will tell. I had it flexed on a snow bank yesterday and was impressed with them, and they arent even broke in yet. Those are 31s on there.
I dont know if I'll make it to Utah this year, its something to shot for though. The XJ project isnt over yet, Ive still got some 4.10s and a rear D44 sitting on the garage floor waiting for me. I cant decide what kind of traction devices I want to run.
The winch and lights dont seem to effect the cooling at all. I had them on through last summer and they didnt cause any problems. To be fair, I do have a 3 core and high flow pump, but I had those before the winch was on. The winch does cause increased wind noise at highway speeds so I know theres some turbulance but it apparently has little effect on the flow through the radiator.

Well, would 'ya look at that... I learn something new every stinkin' day! But for that price, I've found another bumper from jcroffroad that I like a lot. The idea is pretty darn nifty though! lol

Re: Shameless pics of my newly lifted XJ.

Its a funny coincidence that you mention JCRoffroad.
http://www.jcroffroad.com/Merchant2/...egory_Code=XJS.
For AlohaBra, My rock sliders are JCR.
I originally bought the stage II sliders and didnt like how much the round bar interfered with the wife and I climbing in and out, so I cut the outer bars off and made them stage I sliders. If it werent my DD I wouldnt have worried about them, but I climb in and out more often then I off road so the outer bars had to go. Other than that, Im happy with them. Good fit, good price and good quality and JCR are good to deal with. I painted them with Rustolium hammered, the same thing I painted the wheels with.
