I want to put an after market exhaust on my bimmer, and I need to know which exhaust system is available for my car that will not produce so much noise in the car where I am have to where ear plugs to drive it.!! I need to good data input, someone please help?

Ah, you're undertaking a hard task. Making a 4 cylinder sound nice.
There's a decent aftermarket for the 318 though and you should be able to find something suited to your purposes. Your best bet would either be Magnaflow (www.magnaflow.com) or Flowmaster (www.flowmaster.com). They're proven winners. And I think it's magnaflow (could be wrong) that has actual sound clips on their site to hear what it'll sound like in real life. Good luck!

I suggest looking into Remus exhausts. They are quite quiet (maybe not what you're looking for, but definitely my preference)
