92 Buick Regal - NO Heat -Help
My wife has a 92 buick regal, and has been complaining over the past few months that her heater wont turn on unless she drives over some bump's. No that has stopped and it will not turn on at all. My assessment of the problem is probably that the blower motor needs to be replaced, but im not 100% sure. Can anyone give me any advice?

hello, just thinking about brings me to a couple ideas. Firstly check the fusebox, maybe in your glovebox to see if the fuse is blown. Secondly since your wife said she needed to drive over bumps to get it going, maybe something has gotten in the way of the actual fins of the fan causing it to be blocked from turning. If this may of happened, its not good for the fan to be on and not able to rotate, maybe burning out the motor. Not sure where it is in your car, but its probably on the passenger side under yhe dash somewhere. Good luck, and hopefully its warm where you live. Raybuick Canada

Hi,
I am the owner of a 1992 Buick Regal that has me stumped. About 6 months ago, we found there was very little air movement from any of the outlets when the heater fan was running, even on high speed. I have pulled apart just about all I can under the dash, looked at all the dampers I can see and find no reason for the poor performance. I have found several similar cases on the web, all indicating this has most mechanics scratching their heads. If anyone has an idea, a place to look, a picture to look at, please send me the info. It is getting downright chilly in upper New York now and I need to drive this car for a while longer. Thanks, TheComputerGuy - |
