Instrument Gauges Out

Got a question. Have a 2003 Silverado. All gauges have stopped working, tach, speedometer, oil pressure, gas, water, battery. Everything else works. All fuses are okay. What's up and what will it cost.

Re: Instrument Gauges Out

Are you referring to the cluster lights, or the needles?

Re: Instrument Gauges Out

Sorry to interrupt, but is it possible (and easy?) to change the cluster bulbs?

anterazza1954, do a search. There has been a number of posts on this topic in the last few weeks. You will probably get more info that way.

NOT BULBS! They do not move when engine is turned on.

Hi. I had the same problem with my 1999 silverado. I had to pull the instrument cluster and unplug the wiring harness and rerout the harness to the left. Repluged back in and everything worked ok. Hope this helps

Re: Instrument Gauges Out

I found out from a certified mechanic that the speedometer cluster needed replacement. Apparently GM has had a number of problems reported with these "needle" gauges.

Re: Instrument Gauges Out

No, apparently not. The panel has to be pulled out before replacing bulbs, from what I have learned. Anyone out there know any differently, let me know.
