I took my car to the mechanic, and he told me that I broke the clutch drum housing on my 4L60E of my 99 Z28. How can that thing possibly brake? Now we have to replace it. Does anybody know of a company that makes stronger, "beefier" clutch drum housing or do I have to go with the stock one again? The part that broke is the aluminum ring that the shaft is going through.

Alroght, but, I'd be interested in knowing how a trans built to stand 700 HP failed.
You know something to look for in the future.
