Re: question?

depend on what you find and what you want. Do you want interior and make a halfway comfy street car or do you want a gutted race/street car roll cage bit

Re: question?

honestly i have a third generationa already that i wanted to use as a project car and it is in good body shape but it has a 2.8l engine and a automatic trans, so i figure that i will just find a 350 small block and swap it out but then what do i do about the transmission its worthless to me first off its automatic and it wont be able to handle the power that i am wanting to put into the 350 and with the prices of the engine and transmissions that ive been finding i am wondering if it will be worth it to just find another cheap camaro with a 350 anda manuel in it already?

Re: question?

no thirdgens came with a 350 and manual trans, only with the 305/manual. if you are looking to make big power, the stock t5 manual trans would need to be rebuilt as it can only take about 300ft lbs. also, it will be difficult to locate a v8/5 speed thirdgen in a bone yard because not a ton were made. it would be easier to do an engine swap on a camaro that already had a v8 as there are multiple things that would need to be changed out on a v6 car.

Re: question?

I bought my last Z28 for $400 because the guy thought the piston rings were bad when all it was leaking valve seals and too far advanced timing.
