got an 05 silverado z71 and steering collumn rattles when you slightly turn steering wheel left of right did it on my 01 and 04 too i take it must be common just wondering if any way to fix it at home. THANKS.

I believe there was a recall about this. Having to replace something in the steering column.

The was a TSB on this. They have to replace the intermediate steering shaft. I have had many of those replaced and GM finally designed one that will actually work. mine always clunked when you turned the wheel.

Isn't this the common "repack the column with grease" solution?
