Help 1991 Blazer Wiper's don't work

Hello Gents,
I had replaced my steering column for the 2nd time in my trusted 1991 v6 4.3 ltr S-10 4x4 Blazer. Everything seemed to work fine, that is until I tried to use the wipers (Doh). They don't work, anyone have any ideas. I checked all the connections and they are all solid. I checked the fuse and the fuse is good also. I had the battery hooked up still at the time while I was doing this. Is it possible that I blew the wiper circuit board or anything else? Any help would be greatly appreciated. I'm lost

Is the wiper switch on the column in your '91? If so, the first place to check is the wiper switch just inside the upper column bowl.
