how to get to the heater core on '95 jimmy?

i was on a trip about a week ago, and on the way there i was smellin antifreeze real bad and windows were fogging up (heater was on). when i got to my destination i was checking things out and couldnt find nothing wrong till i noticed the floor on passanger side was soaked, so i put paper towels all over the floor on passanger side and ran the truck somemore and saw anti freeze gushing through paper towles, so i figured it was the heater core, i went to part store and bought bypass for the heater core (only $2) untill i got back from vacation. (and no more leaks since bypass)

now im back and have no idea how to get to the core, and dont want to just go about tearing the dash apart if there is a simple way to get to it.

thx in advance for your help

No, there is no easy way, but the link Dino gave is for a -98 and the -95 is not totaly the same. I just did my Blazer -95 this thursday night...
I found the Haynes manual to be quite correct.
Main differens to between -95 and -98 is that you split the heater box on a -95 with the box inplace but on a -98 you remove the heaterbox from the car before pulling the core out.

In short:
1 disconnect battery

2 remove under dash panels

3 losen the stearing collum and let it down to rest on drivers seat.

4 Losen 3 screws under dash that hold it (one at each end and one a little to the right of middle).

5 Remove 4 screws on top of dash (under speaker covers and vent cowl(is it called that?))

6 Tilt and lift dash, mainly on the right side, and disconnect some electric connectors, one most to the right is fastend with a bolt in the middle.

What I did then whas to hang the right side of the dash in a string from the handle over the passanger door, so I got some room to work behind the dash.

7 Remove thinn pecil brace(?) that is over/front of heater box.

8 Split the heater box, there should be 6 screws: 2 under, 1 upper left side, 1 top and 2 right side. Itīs a little tricky to get the lid out but some gentle violance helps Be carefull not to break it, though.

9 Remove 4 screws holding the core and one holding the brace for the pipes.

10 take out the core and put in the new.

11 Put things back...

This is all out of my memory so there may be some things I forgoten to write but itīs the general idea how itīs done.
Sorry I didnīt have a camera when I did it.
It all took me 3.5h to do.

but ill give it a shot and see what i can do with it.
