wiper problem
hey guys...my buddy has a 96 eclipse that has a wiper problem....it was cold and icy one morning and he thought it would be cool to yank the wiper free...so now, the wipers arent working..you can hear the motor running though, wipers just arent moving...i think a linkage broke...but i dont know wat it's call...any help?

Pull off the actual wiper arm(s) and see if the pivot actually turns, if not you're fucked. It's 1 bolt to pull the arm(s) off, shouldn't take more than 5 mins.

no...the pivot doesnt turn at all..like i said, the motor runs though...so how fucked is he....no way to fix it at all?

Well, ur gonna have to pull off the plastic cowl, pull out the motor/wiper assembly and see exactly what is wrong with it. This shit is hard to fix over the net, it's more of a hands on type of thing.
