Best Money You Have Spent...
Random AVEO Question -- What is the best money you have spent on your Aveo?? Did you redo your speakers or add some fancy cold air intake thing??
I am a girl, this is my first car and I want to add something to my car... I just don't know what. Since my PAYMENT for it is $336 a month, I dont want to invest a LOT of money here but I was wondering what you guys think would be the most valuable thing to add or whatever. Yeah I am super interested so... let me know. I spent .75 cents putting air in the tires. That's it. Oh and I spent 80$ having a 200$ CD player installed at Circuit City. That was hella dumb but hey I was in a hurry, I couldnt stand the radio anymore... I think that is all the money. Except I have a curious george steering wheel cover and matching floor mats. Because I got the SVM and it didnt come with floormats and I hated the feel of the steering wheel, it made my hands feel dry and papery and they kept slipping off the wheel when I was turning and that was a bit dangerous... So yeah let me know! I am excited to see what you guys have done!

Re: Best Money You Have Spent...
Haa I didn.t Obviously. Oh well. I like the car like 90% so no big deal I guess. It could be a hell of a lot worse. My first 2 and a half years of college, I will be paying for this car but whatever. If anything I will lose weight because I wont be able to afford food.

Re: Best Money You Have Spent...
The best money I've spent on my Aveo is $2 on a window film I use to tint my rear and front turn signal and reverse lights. It looks way cool now, it's like you have those smoked lights. Cheap but cool. Hehehe...

Re: Best Money You Have Spent...
Hey, it's not difficult I tell ya.. You don't have to take anything apart.. Too bad haven't taken any pics yet for you to see..
All you need are: 1. A few inches of window film (it could be 3M, V-Kool, Solar Gard, Huper Optic, Llumar, or other brands), not too much, just as wide as the lamps/reflectors you want to cover. Choose the ones that's not so dark (20%-40%) so that you lights are still visible. This is the stuff that'll cost you around two bucks. 2. A Cigarette lighter. 3. A paper cutter (a sharp one). 4. A glass cleaner/wax. Here's how you do it: Cut the window film as wide as you want to stick on; before sticking it on, clean your lamps/reflectors (outer part of course) using the glass cleaner/wax; stick those film carefully on the lamps/reflectors you want, don't make any bubbles; if it is hard to stick, especially on the curves, use the cigarette lighter to make it stick to the curves (don't let it burn though); if you're done with that, just cut the edges with the cutter, don't be afraid cuz if you do it carefully it won't scratch your reflectors and the edge of the film will be cut and could be ripped of easily. Well, that's it. Does this confuse you? I'll try to take some pics of my Aveo for you to see. Just wait for my next reply. See ya! |
