help with system installation, amp, sub, comps

Hey guys, I'm pretty new to car audio, so I need some help. I just bought a cadence amadeus m4000 digital amp, a jl audio stealthbox with a 10w3v3-4 300 w sub, and phoenix gold 6.5" octane-r comps. I've heard many stories about people that take theirs to get it professionally done, and the professionals fuck up the system, or don't really know what they're doing, so I was hoping I could do it myself, with your help, of course.
First off, here are the websites with the stats of all the things I have.
http://mobile.jlaudio.com/products_s...hp?fit_id=1429 the sub
http://www.caraudio-store.de/M4000,4...a9.html?page=5 the amp
http://sonicelectronix.com/item_1666.html the comps

What would be the best setting for the amp to be hooked up at? What are the differences between 4 x 100 rms, 4x200 rms, and 2x400 rms Bridged?
any help is greatly appreciated, and many thanks ahead!
