Electrical problem!

I have a 2003 GMC Sierra SLT Z71. When I first start the truck, I can turn on the maplight and for a brief second, the cargo lamp indicator flashes on, on the dash. It has always done this since I bought it two years ago. However this past winter, my heated seat on the drivers side wont stay on and will shut off drivers and passengers. Passengers side alone works fine. In addition to this, my heated mirrors dont seem to be working anymore. Checked all fuses, all are fine. Dont know if this is tied to it or not but the memory seats and mirrors seem to go where they want to and not to where I set them. Any ideas from anyone?

Re: Electrical problem!

The heated mirrors and seats are controled by the drivers door module, could be a fault there.
Also there are some programming updates for the DDM regarding both heated mirrors and seats

Re: Electrical problem!

Should I replace the drivers door module? And if so, about how much to replace it? Thanks.

Re: Electrical problem!

Never replace anything until the concern has been properly diagnosed.

Re: Electrical problem!

Do you have an after market alarm? I have a 2003 Sierra Z71 and I am having similar problems. My seats and seat heaters stopped working along with some of my climate contol settings and I did something to the alarm the first time it happened and everything went back to normal, but it has happened again and I can't remember what I did the first time. I still have use of my mirrors and my heat, but the heat is only comming out of the defroster no matter what setting I have it at

Re: Electrical problem!

No I only have the factory alarm. All my climate controls work fine, just the seats and mirrors.
