CRX!...in my opinion....if you want an all-out drag car....this is your baby. Maybe a later-year civic hatch if you want something that will look a little nicer.

yea. a CRX would be the lightest. depending on the year, i would take the 91 for its looks. now if you don't care about looks, this car is for you!. like mentioned above, get a 92-95 civic hatchback (preferably 92 ) if you want to look good and still be pretty fast. try to get the CX model. its the lightest of all hatchback.

i would persionally take the 92-95 civic. engine swaps are easier to do in them than the CRX, due to the chassis design of both cars.

Absolutely, the CRX has a smaller and more cramped engine bay than the Civics. Of course you didn't specify what sort of import car you are looking to run, so I would suggest starting with either a Datsun 510 body and dropping in a heavily built turbo rotary OR a last gen Supra Turbo, which will support about 800hp on the stock block. Properly built, either will be capable of 8-9 second passes. Expect to spend at least twice as much money to get there as you do with a domestic though.

www.importbuilders.com

They sell monster ls/vtecs and cr-vtecs. If you just wanna go all out drag race, then i agree w/ the others and go grab an rx-7, supra, skyline...................
If you wanna go FWD, then i say get the crx or a 92 cx too. Those are very light and have a lot of potential. Hasport sells motor mounts so that you can swap in b18c into crx's, so it should be pretty good. also http://tech.hybridgarage.com/index.html
should have a lot of info for you. GOOD LUCK w/ the build up............

Lightbulb On your Drag Car with one to choose

It really depends on how fast you want to go. Now if your going to choose the crx, civic, or integra n/a the fastest your going to go is about high tens for right now unless you have a shit load of money. But then it takes alot of money to do that. If you go turbo you will run about high 8's. Now were talking about race cars that cost alot of money. You could take that same money and run faster if you were to go with a rear wheel Drive Car. If you were to take a rear wheel car with the same weight and horsepower it will whip a front wheel drive all day long and if you have your car set up right you can bust some cool wheelies. But it's all about what you prefer.:bandit: :bandit:
