Pajero 3.5l timing problem
hi,
I have a 1997 Mitsubishi Pajero that has a timing problem of being 5 degrees retarted. The mechanic has had the timing cover off and says the timing chain is all in line and that it is the fault of the computer. He had the computer sent to a technician and they found no problem with it. The mechanic then told me he could not help me besides rebuilding the engine from the ground up even though their is no real problems with it and it might or might not fix the problem.
Can someone please tell me if they have come across this problem before or does anyone know a possible cause
