95 GC wont start with NORMAL wiring, blower motor for heater is the same!
i h ave a 95 GC 4.0. recently for who knows what reason, it wouldnt start. figured it a starter problem since i've replaced it 3 times in 3 years. turns out, starter is fine. if you know how to JUMP a starter, thats what i did and it worked fine. my ignition wont work with the starter. come to find out. its a wiring problem. not sure where though. i ran a good solid wire from the starter to a push button inside the jeep. turn the ignition, push the button. starts fine. but at the same time i realized my blower motor wont work with its normal power wire. ran a 2nd power wire to the positive side of the blower to a positive under the dash, works fine just like normal. its like i lost power to the blower and starter. anyone know of any relays or anything that would cause this!? i'm lost and i've had a few mechaincs look at it as well. we all have no idea. checked all fuses and relays i could find. not broken, but an inconvenience! PLEASE HELP!

Re: 95 GC wont start with NORMAL wiring, blower motor for heater is the same!
There is a starter relay that is in the power distribution center, but that does not sound like it would be the problem. I really no clue but try finding the wiring diagram for your jeep and tracing the wires back and see if they go to the same area, then do a process of elimination. Wiring diagram I was looking at shows starting and heating control wires going back to the Engine Control Module(ECM) but that was for a '94. I do not know if there is that much of a difference in 1 year though?

Sounds like a bad Ignition Switch, but doesn't make sense that you would have power to the fuel pump (with the key in the on positio) for the engine to start but not to the accessories.
Check for power on the YELLOW and the DARK BLUE/GREY wires at the Ignition Switch. YELLOW wire with the key in the START position (trying to crank the engine) and the DARK BLUE/GREY with the key in the START position and again in the RUN or ON position. The DARK BLUE/GREY wire is most likely the problem, this is the one that would supply power to accessories. If you get no power out of either of these wires then the Ignition Switch is bad and would need to be replaced.
