msd ignition coil question
ok so when i get my tax return money back i am going to do a tune up and i want to get new ignition coil and i was looking at the msd ones that sps and sms have. now they say thay it can only be used on 91-95 years. but i heard that there is not difference between the engines but 1 hp difference.
i heard that in order to get it to work you need the MSD Camshaft Position Signal Generator |

Re: msd ignition coil question
the MSD coils have little if any performance gain, they are mainly stock replacement. The MSD Ignition modules does offer some gains, which of course MSD suggests using thier coils with their modules. what years use which parts i don't know, contact MSD for that info. the cps generatior is needed when using the MSD module with 96+ 1.9 liter engines as the stock ignition module supplys the cam signal.
