2000 astro battery light new alternator
I have a 2000 astro conversion van with 125k. Put an alternator in a few months ago because battery light was on. Seemed to work. Now my volt gauge is all over the place and the light keeps coming back on. It bounces between 14 and 10 volts. Seems to be bouncing more if I turn the ac on and off. I checked the battery terminals and they are clean. Where should I start? I might just bring it in to the shop but I thought I'd try looking for something easy first

Re: 2000 astro battery light new alternator
I know it's not the easiest thing to access (I have two 2000 Astros), but try to back-probe the alternator connector to see if the L terminal is getting a constant voltage to enable the alternator.
