99 Sierra 5.3 Oil Pressure

Just a quick question about normal oil pressure ranges. I recently changed my oil and now, at idle, pressure reads about 42psi. Running is about 70psi. Thats hot. I run Mobil 1 5w30 Synthetic and always put in a can of Restore. Previous oil pressure was about 26-28psi at idle, and 40psi or so running, also hot. Only difference is, for this oil change im using a WIX filter. Previous filter was a Mobile 1. Just wondering if everything is normal here, or if have too much oil in it...checked the dip-stick though and im right at the top of the range. Going to run it cold tomorrow morning and hopefully it doesnt blow up. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Brian

Re: 99 Sierra 5.3 Oil Pressure

Oil pressure stayed the same, level is normal. I checked the temp of the filter after I turned the truck off, and I could keep my hand on it for quite some time. Wasnt hot like normal. Changed the filter. Still the same.
