How do i remove the shifter in my malibu

I have a 1998 Chevrolet Malibu, can anyone tell me how to go about getting my shifter knob off.

If this is an automatic with the shift/brake interlock,
thier should be a horseshoe type clip on the front side of the shifter knob.

If you shifter knob is round(manual trans) with no SI button then it screws off. Might be a set screw or nut locking this one on.
