Question homemade air intake

my friend has an 88 honda civic hatchback.. any body have tips, suggestions, or links to a site that shows how to make one

Well, I dont know of any sites. But the most common that I have seen is this. Take the top off the AirBox, wrap some wire around the box and filter to hold it in place. Instant open intake.

You might be able to get away with using a cone filter with some of your own piping. You can porbably get a hold of some exhaust pipe that'll work and for the connection you can use a rubber ABS coupling that plumbers use.

I too was looking for a way to make my own intake. Then I found an article on the net - HERE . I'm making my own and if you want, I can make you one too for the cost of supplies.

why not find out what fits, or what can be modified to fit...
i have a 96-98 civic ex intake from k&n on my 89 prelude w/ some slight modification to it, so find one that is pretty straight, and cut it up and modify it... its fun...
