Cracked battery connector on 2004 Aveo.
I have a 2004 Aveo...
A couple of days ago I had this problem when my Aveo suddenly can't start, damn! This is my first time having a car (bought from new) that won't start. I checked the batteries (it's a dry maintanance free type), by the look of its indicator it seems alright. Man, I was fustrated that day. Fortunately it's an M/T so I could get some help from people to push it so it would start. When I got home and turn off the engine and try to start it again, it just stayed silent. But the horn and lights could still work. When I check it again, I found out that the positive battery connector got cracked. It's also covered in those white-ish blue-ish material. What's causing this anyway? Does any of you experience the same thing? After I replace that connector, it just starts like normal.
One more thing, one tip for you guys, DON'T LOSE YOUR ANTI-THEFT CODE FOR YOUR HEAD UNIT CD/RADIO/CASSETTE PLAYER. Cuz if you disconnect your batteries, it resets your radio and you'll be jammed and asked for that code.
