Read back through some of the previous threads (including one in the last weeks) about HLJ and how their shipping works, all your questions will be answered.

Re: Any aussies having same problem?

My order from R10 was shipped on Nov. 22, and I received notification that it's arrived at the post office yesterday. The order I made not too long before that arrived in 8 days, and both were shipped SAL. It's that "slow shipping times" season again, I'm afraid.

Re: Any aussies having same problem?

I've been ordering from HLJ for a few years now and at Christmas the delivery time can double due to the amount of mail.
Don't panic, it always get here!

Re: Any aussies having same problem?

I think things are just bloody slow at the moment, I've got a kit coming by EMS, its taken 2 days to get from the post office in japan to being sent through customs. I was hoping I would get it before christmas, but that doesn't look likely. Oh well can't complain i guess, i've got plenty to keep me busy.

Re: Any aussies having same problem?

It may or may not be a problem with Christmas. I have had problems with slow HLJ deliveries in both Aus and the UK. I have also had at least one delviery never make it in both countries. I think I have about one in five HLJ delvieries get badly delayed - I think my record was about 11 weeks to Aus for an order where everything was listed as in stock! However all missing deliveries have been replaced without a problem, so I cannot complain about HLJ too much.

To be honest, whenever possible I order from MediaMix now. Prices are similar, and I ALWAYS get my order within 5 working days, even with the 'slow' (i.e. cheaper) shipping option.

Re: Any aussies having same problem?

It took a month after shipping for me to get one of my kits from HLJ, and I'm westcoast USA.

Re: Any aussies having same problem?

Actually ended up getting my kit this morning. Woohoo another present for me to put under the tree! As for the cost, the postage for the 1/12 kit was 2800yen, so about $31. Well worth it to not have to wait and take the risk of it getting lost.
