Radio reception

Ok, here's the deal. Every radio i've ever had in my civic, and i've had it going on 6 years now, sucks at picking up a signal. I've had probably 4 radios in it. My brother's car, and a friends, picks up stations that mine doesn't even attempt. I just got a new supertuner IIID and it is no better than anything else. I bought a new antenna like 3 years ago, and it didn't help. Is there anything that can be done about this? Or is it a civic curse? Thanks.

Re: Radio reception

When I bought my car the antenna was in two pieces inside the A-pillar, and the core and shielding were twisted together. Which of course, canceled any and all signal for my 100+ mile ride home, I did manage to pick up the strongest signal withing about 200 mi just as I passed Tampa..for about 10mins, and I had no CDs..it sucked ass.
