Escort RS Cosworth "Boxy's Jeans" - Finished Pics

Hey guys,

I was supposed to show my Carisma Evo 6 here this weekend, but I got the photo's back from the shop and they are.... not good Will have to rework them with my software, grrr

BUT... to keep the spirit going, I'll show you my Ford Escort RS Cosworth instead. The colour scheme yellow/blue is a bit special. I hope you like it. More text below the pictures...

Kit is the Tamiya rally Escort and the decals are from CB Com - limited edition :finger:. Furthermore seat belts and wheels are from Racing 43, tarmac tyres are from... well I forgot Yellow and blue are airbrushed and finished of with a couple a layers Revell N° 1 gloss varnish.

More pictures and extra info are on my site - Automotomover - in the Model Review section. Enjoy!

Nice looking Escort. It's a shame they are not around in WRC anymore.

Looks good nice to see an Escort cossie in a different colour scheme, but it does look a bit strange with the back rims in yellow!

As so often P-Man has it right It looks a bit weird, but that's how the car really was. Thing about rally and race car modeling is that you have to stick to orignal colour schemes whereas with the cars some of you are doing here, you have complete freedom in colour, rims etc. :sun:

You'll have to be patient dude. I normally can finish between 3 to 5 models a year due to a busy pro-live, a family, the garden, a website etc. but I'm getting there... that's why I am so often stunned when I see the quantities getting build by some guys overhere

Well to be honest, I don't think so. But some of their products are avialable on-line through Hobby-carmodel from France. You might want to check it, but I find their website a bit confusing compared to HLJ fe.

Printing quality is good, very thin and almost no excess carrier film. But the large blue decal was, well a bit to large to make a good fit, that's why I airbrushed the blue. The white for the number plate was "see-through", which I only discovered only when nearly all decals were on. I decided to mask everything and airbrush some layers of white to give a better result, which also ment putting the number decal aside and keeping it wet for nearly a day , but with some "SET" it turned out good - so not the quality as let's say Renaissance but still OK.
