Mitsubishi Lancer for sale.... what to do? VENT...

Hey guys what's going on? Seems to be a lot of talk about school and venting... so here I go.

Background. My parents, as of most, expect us to do our best. My sisters went to college at Lemoyne in Syracuse and one of them graduated with a 4.0 GPA and is a Certified Public Accountant for Price Water Coopers and the next sister following came out with a 3.85ish GPA and has studied her ass off to become a Physicians Asistant and she is almost done with that. Now when I went off to school my parents wanted a 4.0 no questions asked... So I went to Morrisville State College of Agraculture and Technology and took Automotive Technology and Business Administration for a batchlors degree.

As you know I bought a Mitsubishi Lancer OZ as of earlier this year. I needed a cosigner to sign for the loan or I simply couldn't get the car. So dad set the rules that I have a years worth of payments in the bank incase something happens i can still pay for the car. Now what i got from that is that i had enough money to pay for the car while i was in school and i did.

Now back to school, I'm not the smartest thing out there when it comes to the 4 years of college. (Currently goign on to the 2nd simester of my THIRD year (3 years)) As it goes on the harder it gets with higher level courses. This simester wasn't the worst, I finished out with a 2.1 and I passed everything but also struggled in 2 classes. My over all current GPA is a 2.5ish. But half way through the simester I had some money saved up so I bought a dell computer making sure I had enough money to still pay my car payment till i got out for Winter break. Well i did and i have ~400$ in the bank and when I came home the other day from work some how my dad found out. To make a long story short he threw my keys at me and told me to get the fuck out of his face. So now he is determineing to sell my Lancer and get rid of the loan because i did not follow the rules... and he wants me to sell my computer too and if anyone wants a KICK ASS deck im selling that as well, along with a wiring harness for a 91 TSI...

Personally I don't think its fair, I have the money to make the measly payment of 168$ with enough to make another 2 months and the computer was a wayy better investment then what i was going to spend it on.. (600$ Exhaust system for my car, but i could of got it off ebay for wayyy... cheaper)... anyway im currently working 50 hrs a week till i go back to school making 450$ per week at toms car and truck repair and 18 Hrs at sears on the weekends so 68 hrs a week and whatever money make on the sides working on peoples cars... I don't know what to do... I'm happy with what i did, not truely but I'm doing what i have to to survive in school.. there is no pleaseing him.. sometimes i want to move out but im gogin to keep letting him pay the car insurance as long as i can... god knows i dont want a rent payment too...

So now i just work whenever he is home... and when he is home i just mind my business and chill in my room...

what to do...

and dad dropped out of college halfway through his first week of his first simester...

I'm with Crow, I understand that he's worried about his credit but he doesn't need to act the way that he did, there's better ways to handle it. I think he can get his name removed from the loan can't he? My Uncle co-signed for me and his rules for me were that all the payments must be set up so they automatically come out of my checking account so I will never have a late payment and every payment is guaranteed. I haven't got his named removed from the loan but I heard that you can, but I won't even bother cause I'm paying it off in March anyways.

In order to get someones name off of a loan you have to refinance it in your name alone. So you need to go to whatever bank it is that you want to go through and try to get qualified for whatever is left to pay on the loan.

its 8,000 and i dont have a steady job.. i do a lot of underthetable work... how much higher would my finance rate would be?

probally too high for you to afford thats how they get you. you are going to either just sit down and talk to your dad or just save up some mone while your working and buy something else
