Jada Type Australian Cars 1/24th Ford Coupe's

Hello.Has anyone seen or purchased these? http://www.models56.com.au/ I recently received mine and am quite happy with them. They are diecast with opening bonnet, boot, doors and have a realistic engine bay. They also have a numbered certificate stating that they are limited edition.Let me know what you think.Seeya

Rayman, wrong area. Should be in diecast.

I also must ask if you have anything to do with models56 as you have been spouting off about them here and elsewhere since November. Strange if you are no way related to him/them.

I thought this was the Diecast part.Anyway, no I am no relation or friend or whatever,I just think this company deserves a go and I think that other collector's would like an opportunity to see them as well. And I might add that this forum is pretty handy and has alot of good stuff so I hope to see you round.Ray

Sorry but I think they look like crap.... unless of course you like ill proportioned cartoon styled cars that barely resemble their 1:1
counterparts.

Personally I'd rather spend my time and money modifying a cavalier resin or Aoshima Mad Max kit... Atleast it would look like a Falcon.
Regards, Dan

HOLY CRAP!!! if that were a 1:1 car, those wheels would surely have to be like 35 inches!!!!! if one were to have never seen a ford falcon like that in real life, by looking at those pics you would swear that it was a sub compact. that car in real life is like 18 feet long or longer!

I like the look of them, but damn talk about un real!

now show me a REAL falcon that looks like that, and I'll give the person who built it BIG props, that would be some major metal surgery.

Yup, those cars are the perfect example that I use when my customers ask me "why buy one of your models instead of a diecast?" Completely out of proportion, bulky, poorly detailed, painted too thickly... They're great if you just want a nice cheap novelty item, but pretty pointless if you're looking for an accurate model of a car.

the walmart specials, anyway, John. I've seen some diecasts that would blow the socks off of some professionally built kits. of course they are usually around $100 and up (GMP comes to mind).

Oh absolutely, some of the high-end diecast stuff is just gorgeous.
