Home Made Decals 4

After a longish break from any modelling decided to attempt a rushed 1/43 Metro 6R4 using an e-bay special Computervision Metro as seen below:

and changed it into the Duckhams QXR car driven by 1992 National Champion John Price. Mods included the exterior paint & decals but also had a go at improving the interior with a lick of paint.

Few mistakes along the way but overall fairly happy with the result for my 4th set of home brewed decals and my 2nd go at 1/43 scale.

Sorry didn't take any build pics in the rush to get it completed.

It turned out great. How long did it take?

An evening to strip, 1 day to prime, paint yellow base, dry, mask, and add blue top coat, 1 day to produce decals, fit and clear coat and then half a day to put it all back together and finally an hour to fix the damage that I did dropping when just finished finished (Rear wing & wing mirror snapped off plus some paint damage).

Christmas day & Boxing day provided a good break in between the yellow and blue painting days.

Looks great Marco, one of the nicest Metro liveries in my eyes, you should treat yourself to a Profil24 one and do this in 1/24 :-)

Would love to but they are a bit pricey and never tried a resin kit.
