Sup... Well I want to do a science project on cars.. and the thing is ----
Does overworking the engine with NOS affects the way the engine runs after using it ? I just wanted to know if yall could help me out and tell me if you know the answer and how could I test it?? |

Ok, what grade are you in? because I'm sorry to say but this is a pretty horrible science fair idea. Much to exspensive, and time consuming, plus there are other concerns as well, such as:
Do you have your own car? Does it have a nitrous system? Do you have any mechanical back ground?

yeAH, NOS doesnt hurt anything in your motor...
when you blow a head gasket... its still good to go. honest...i swear. DO IT!

Wait a minute, are we talking Nitrous oxide or Naauuusss here? One is a legitimate performance upgrade, the other is a mythical substance/device that will turn a stock honda civic into a funny car devouring 1/4 mile beast...

It is [H] MAGIC! Use it and be king of the road NOS is a company, and in thus is not bad for your car, and will not affect it Where as N2O...well...refer to earlier post (which wasnt written by me, but someone on my comp, no need to change it eather, it says what I would want to say )

In short, nitrous will provide more oxygen to your engine, allowing you to run more fuel, and make more power out of the same volume.
This will put more strain on your engine, and a higher rate of wear. If you use too much nitrous, you could throw a rod, or burn a piston, or blow a headgasket. Unfortunately for your project, it would be very hard to demonstrate this, unless you got an engine and blew it up running too much gas.
