How to change the passenger air comparment filter?
Does anyone know how to change the passenger air compartment filter? I have the new filter, but can not locate where it is. Any help would be much appreciated.

Re: How to change the passenger air comparment filter?
with the hood opened, looking on the passenger side, there is a black plastic piece that goes from side to side (where the wipers sit) there is a setion that you can see is parted which has a couple of plastic tabs that when pulled up will come off (the plastic bolts) which will allow the cover to come off exposing the filter which will be down behind the plastic piece.
Hope this helps. I may be able to email you pics. |

Re: How to change the passenger air comparment filter?
I was checking both the air filter and air compartment filter on my wife's 05 LT AWD last night. To get to the air compartment filter:
1. Pull the 2 plastic clips at the bottom of passenger-side wiper blade (1 of the clip must be done with hood down) 2. Raise the hood and pull the 3 remaining plastic clips on the passenger-side cover. I could pull the cover up from the middle and check on the filter which is still clean. However the cover was still attached to the hood hinge-side with a soft rubber piece. I don't know if we need to completely detach the cover in order for the air compartment filter to come out/put back, the filter is about 20-inch long and 5 inch wide. |
