japanese evo3 --> 98 gs-t 4g63

Hello, I bought a new japanese motor online to replace ruined engine. The module (distributor?) at the end of the rear cam is different, old one has a piece that bolts onto end of cam, new engine has no threads on cam to install old sensor unit. Old module has 3 wire connector, new one has 4 wire. can you please help me get this car running? jim

You mean the Cam Angle Sensor? I've never done or helped with an Evo3 swap. I don't know if they are like the 96-96 or like the 91-94/97-99

Yes, its the cam angle sensor. I need to make the one on the new engine which mounts to the cam into a slot, work with the wiring on the old engine, which mounted to the cam with a bolt into threads.
thanks for any help. jim
