Hiroboy's Custom Chopper Bike

Just completed is this Custom Chopper

I started off with the Revell Kit and made a few changes to the following :
The tank was repostioned, the frame was modified to accept the shallower rank of the front forks, and a few other small mods to the frame gussets etc.

The following were machined up on the mini lathe, Front Forks, Handle Bars and Grips, Foot Pegs, Air Filter, Rear Light, Handle Bar Clamps, Front Wheel Hubs, Fuel tank flow control valve, Spark Plugs, Oil Tank, Wheel Spindles, Stand and more which I can't remember now.

All paint work is from Zero-Paints the colour is Triumph Lucifer Orange and finished with Zero 2 Pack Clear.

I wanted to make new wheels but maybe next time, I had more fun building this that anything for a long time, so another is on the drawing board.

The only thing I'm not about is the seat covering, it looks great to the eye, but in the photos it's not so good, maybe it'll change it to leather.

Thanks for looking

A thing of beauty, am I surprised at all? NAH. Excellent work and great attention to details, especially the licence plate, tail-lights, and of course the engine details. You even managed the bracket between the heads, beautiful.

Re: Hiroboy's Custom Chopper Bike

Hi Steve,

I love your chopper! that's great modeling and a breath of fresh air from GP and sport bikes!

You mentioned a mini lathe. I was in the process of looking for one myself. Can you recommend yours, its pros/cons, brand make and how much you paid for it?

Take care, and happy modeling!

Re: Hiroboy's Custom Chopper Bike

Not to mention the belt drive, the seat itself and the custom made plate. (and the handle bars, the rear light, the throttle line, the choice of paint....)
May I stop now?
Great, Steve!

Re: Hiroboy's Custom Chopper Bike

S T E V E !!!

Absolutely great !!!

Fantastic colour, nice silver-chrome shades on the engine, turned parts, seat looks cool

(just a question: how works the clutch ? Nothing to see on the left end of the steering bar. I saw this at 1:1 bikes, but still have no idea, how it works)

Re: Hiroboy's Custom Chopper Bike

Fantastic work. The turned bits really bring it to life. It seems to have gone together quickly, too, which is a testament to your skill. The color is dead perfect for that bike, too. It all looks amazing.

As far as parts that could be available; the primary pullies (I guess, the ones on the crank and tranny) and the footpegs would be a great place to start, I'd reckon.
