That depends on what you mean...

When you say "clear", do you mean you want the bare metal of the hatch showing through it? or do you want it to be chrome instead of red? or do you want it to be black?

I just ordered a center section from and STD wich is black instead of red...

Please clarify what you mean by "clear"...

Well, I don't know how to do that dreams, but when I get my new center-piece, I'll take a look at my old one and see if I can come up with something...

I started to attempt to do it and slightly cracked the lens. After that I said fuck this and put it back onto the car

It should be just like popping open corner lenses... Just use a heat-gun to melt the glue around the lens edges and slowly pry it apart...

You could just buy the chrome housing Altezza's, but in my opinion, the center piece on those looks really really bad...

Us sedaners dont really have any aftermarket taillight options. I would have altezzas by now if we did, (although I really hate the center piece on em too)

Well, have you been able to open up the center piece? Is it possible to pop it open and remove the red reflective piece? If so, what's behind the reflective piece? Can it be chrome plated? Can you replace the red piece with something else that could be chrome plated? Can you just cover it with some tin-foil? (just kidding about that last one)

Damn... I'm gonna have to go look at mine on my lunch break in a few hours... Got me thinkin'...

If you do figure out how to clear it post some pics and the final product so that some of us sedaners can do the same thing.

Are you sure that hatch you saw didnt have a clear center piece that comes with a set of clear tailights? like this.

This car has a painted set of clear tails.
