Radio Codes
Hello, I am new to mitsubishi, and have some questions about the radio code. The 3000gt I bought came without the stock radio, i bought one off of ebay not knowing that they use a code. Is there any way around this or any way to find out the code. thanks.

Re: Radio Codes
get the serial number off the radio. to do this, you'll have to pull the radio out from the dash (if already installed) and the serial number can be found on the top. with this number, call a local mitsubishi dealership and ask them for the security code. if they say they're gonna charge you money to look up the code, say thanks, hang up the phone, and call another dealership until someone just gives you the code for free.
as for punching in the code, use the preset buttons (i believe) and then the program button to enter the code. however, if you enter the wrong code 3 times, then the radio will lock itself, and you'll have to go through more headache to unlock it. so just make sure you have the correct code before playing around and punching buttons. if you're still confused, do a search. this topic has been covered many times before. also, please read our FAQ thread to more familiarize yourself with these cars. welcome to AF!
