41' Willys

Hello! I'm new to both AF and modeling. Well, I've been looking around at AF for a couple months, but this is my first thread. This is my first model. Ever. So, consequently, it's not very good, but I'm having fun with it. I learned the hardway the difference between CA and liquid cement (engine) Everything is brush painted, I'm working on building a spray booth to help with that, since where i live I can never spray outdoors. Pictures are taken with a cell phone, sorry, I'm hoping to get a digital camera this weekend. Oh, and I'm 15 btw.

Re: 41' Willys

My spray booth prototype is done. Just masonite on 2x2's for now. soon to have doors and suction. The final will be plexiglass with L brackets. I sprayed the body, great black pearl from testors i think. really good coating. still some glass and such to do on it. only a light coat though i think.

Definitely my first, but i've been reading up on here, great place to learn and pick up little tips. There are a lot of little painting mistakes/CA screw ups. They'll show up a lot better with a digicam with macro. Hoping to acquire my brothers. Interior update coming in a few hours!

Re: 41' Willys

very nice indeed! that paint is great, seriously. there will be flaws, you learn from them. I think this is a great starter kit. it fits well, and is a beautiful car when completed straight out of the box.
