"Slowass" got humbled

Well...this is how it went.

No excuses, he beat me. Just filling everyone in.
There are rumors he added a small shot of nitrous. I don't buy it. I checked out the car.
Also, I was running my street wheels. Heavy Torque Thrusts. Rotational mass killed me. I am probably only a 12.3-12.4 at 115'ish' on these instead of my 11.9x at 118'ish'
Also, I took the cameraman...so add 150-160 pounds there.
The Z06 was probably 800 pounds lighter last night.

He was on BFG DR's and I was on Nitto DR's. I had a little more of a problem with traction than he did. Traction wasn't an issue where he really put distance on me though.

First two races are from inside my car. Last race is the Z06 against a Kenne Bell'd 03 Cobra. Z06 owner told me I hung better than that KB Cobra.

Both of my races were from 30 to 120'ish'

I need to put my car on a diet and go again. With the ProStars on it.
It was a fun evening though. He was real cool about running them, and actually was impressed with my car considering all the weight we had in it.
Enjoy.

He was running tires? Blah... you should of both ran tires.

Keep it even, if he gets traction you get traction.

Re: "Slowass" got humbled

Both on DR's.
He had BFG's and I had Nitto's.

Hoping he keeps it stock for a while. That way maybe I can get him at Bandimere early in the season.

I told man, why didn't you believe me? It's a fucking CORVETTE!!! You can't beat a Z06 CORVETTE, they have way to much torque.

I hate to do it but...

...I told you so.

Re: "Slowass" got humbled

Told me what??

You said I would get worked....that wasn't getting worked.

I bet I could still take him down the 1/4 mile.
I raced him with my car being VERY heavy last night. Obviously played a role.

And by the way, I make more RWHP and more torque.

oh man, the sounds coming outta those 3 cars is just sweet, thanks for not crapping it up and putting background music in there.

And I'd love to see you three go at it on the track next year, hopefully you can set it up

Texas Speed 402 with a nice cam, good heads, great intake.

Car is just heavy. Iron block, big 9" rearend.
I want a stock Z06 at the track. My car does better there than on the street.
If I was on my ProStar wheels and without a passenger, I think it would have been even.

But...being who I am, I ran him in street trim since that is how the car would be if I just randomly got him driving around.

Nah man the C6 Z06 is the ultimate in performance right now. There is nothing that can beat it that doesn't have a turbo the size of you're head. You should add a wet shot if you want to go fast.

Give him credit Eps, he hung with him.
Besides it didnt go down quite as you expected did it?

how many other cars here can hang like that with a Zo6?
Luos is the friggin man!

Re: "Slowass" got humbled

Alright...I will have to go back down there next weekend if the weather is good.
Run him again without all that extra weight.

And you are wrong. There are several 402/408 setups in F-Bodys that will take down a stock Z06. On motor.
I was all of two cars back on motor. Car was fat compared to normal, and traction was an issue.

You can not believe me, that is fine.
But in track trim and on the drag strip, I can beat a C6Z06.

You don't know what your talking about. There are plenty of n/a cars that can take a Z06. You seem a bit biased, although I agree that the Z06 is quick for how much it costs.

You need to get out more if you think an 11sec car is unbeatable. They are fast, I've driven one with headers and a tune and it was an awesome car. But hardly unbeatable.

Good run Luos! Go after him again with the Prostars and make him carry the cameraman (or at least a passenger to make it even). I'd love to run one.
