Parts lubrication . . .

I ran out of the lube that Tamiya supplied for me while building my car last night.

Since I have no self-control . . . and I was determined to finish building that car last night, I used white lithium grease for the rest of the model . . . steps 12/13-26 . . .

Anything wrong with using lithium grease, or is there something else I should use.

There was also some mention of Tamiya "Ceramic Grease" in my instruction booklet . . . (?)

What do you guys use/recommend?

You should be OK. What model did you build?! I recommend getting ball bearings right away as the first upgrade.

And for the drive train. The grease you used should be fine. Also replace the steel drive shaft with the carbon one. Much lighter and less rotational mass, ie faster acceleration. You can also replace the shafts the gears are on with hollow carbon shafts as well. They are hop-up parts from Tamiya and should be available from Tower Hobbies. If not, try eBay. Something else you might want to get, the Long Arm Suspension kit. It's a bit pricey, about $40 or more, but worth it. It will stabilise the car....alot.
