Completed - Lifted Toyota 4x4

It's been a while since I've posted anything, but I've finally found some time to sneak in a little modeling time. Life's been crazy with moving to Tampa from Atlanta. But, with the Southern Nats NNL coming up this weekend, I just had to knock out one more. I started this a couple of months ago, and had it almost completed. Tonight I finished it up by adding all the lenses and tailgate decals.

I used Chryslers new Go ManGo by CobraColors on this one. The orange pearl in this paint is really nice. I'll have to use this color on a Charger Daytona soon. The interior was finished in a simple tan/brown scheme. The tribal decals came out of the Revell Hummer H2 kit, and one of the Revell Chopper kits.

I've been having some fun breaking away from my normal sports car builds with some 4x4 builds.

Hope to see you guys at the show on Saturday.

Hey! There you been! Nice to see something from you again - I didn't know you were moving all the way to Tampa! This is your usual clean build, but such a cool departure from your usual fare. The tribal decals, I could take them or leave them, but they don't look out of place, and look really good on that color paint! Isn't this a fun kit to get together? Aoshima did a great job on these Toyota truck kits. And you did a great job making a masterpiece of it!

Nice work - as usual. The color suits this pickup very well. Thanks for sharing and good luck in Tampa!

Is it me or does the bed look like it is sagging down as it heads to the rear?

Not judging, just wondering, love that paint!

Beautiful truck, the color is awsome, and those tribal decals make it that much better! Very nice clean build, if only I had one of those in 1:1 .

It does look odd in the photos. I looked at it last night, and looks to be straight and level. I'm not sure why it looks that way in photos and not in person.

Very nice build!

The colour is great - shame it will not be available now.

Re: Completed - Lifted Toyota 4x4

Your paint job is Fantastic. I stared at the hood alone for a good minute. If you would not mind telling, what methods did you use to get that glossy shine?

Great work!

Aoshima makes the kit, and I think it does come in a 2 door version. I found my kit at Hobby Lobby.
