1.8 liter stroker
Okay I have been reading about the stroker engines. Most of them are 2.0 to 2.3.Is there any way to build a 1.8 stroker and if so how hard would it be?
It seems like a pretty cool project. |

Re: 1.8 liter stroker
This just made up for that most recent classifieds thread....Let me try to provide an explanation. Strokers work for a 4g63 (2.0) because the 4g63 and the 4g64 (2.4) use blocks with the same casting, just the 4g64 is bored out an extra mm and the 4g63 has an extra 6mm (IIRC) taken off the top of the block. The bottom of the blocks are essentially the same, thats why a 2.4 crank will provide the extra stroke for 2.0 as long as you get pistons that have the wrist pin hole moved up 6mm so the piston doesnt hit the head. I dont think the 4g37 has any "sister" engines like that. Does that answer your question at all? |
