Keyless Remote Died?

Today i get in my car using the keyless remote like i always do.. drive to work and get out and try and lock the doors with the keyless like i always do.. but nothing happend.. pressed all the buttons and nothing works.

Got off work and go get a new battery for the remote.. maybe it was dead i thoought.. but nope..

Strange thing though.. When i put in the new battery i was able to unlock the doors.. no other button worked.. and the unlock only worked once, and hasnt worked since.

Now my question is has anyone heard of a remote dying? i looked inside and it seems pretty basic.. cant see anything fried or nothing..

I am hoping to god its not my BCM!!

Anyone know if the BCM can go bad causing this? or maybe its just the remote?

If its the BCM will it affect anything else?

My car is a 2000 Cavalier Z24.

Re: Keyless Remote Died?

I love my 2000 z24.. shes the best..

171,000KMS and still goin strong.. lots of power from that little engine..

Brake rotors suck.. get powerslot slotted ones.. thats what i did..

had to replace, starter, fuel pump, battery, keyless remotes, tires, and struts + misc fluids since i bought it a year ago.. but nothing out of the ordinary.
