Gotian's Adventures : caution, very long

So I went out of town this weekend to visit my cousins which is a 2 hour drive over to the gulf coast of florida and it is NW of miami. So anyways I was up there cause one of my cousins has a tumor in her spinal cord and she just got out of the hospital and I wanted to see her. I got there satuarday afternoon and spent the rest of the afternoon with all of them, we had dinner as a big family with my aunt and uncle and my two cousins, my fiance, my cousins fiance, and the more people came for dinner so it was very nice.

After we finished one of my cousins friends came over and all the cousins went out, leaving the adults with the mess at the dinner table I love my Father side of the family (which this was them) cause they are just like me, well ever since this past summer when I started the whole car thing with them. So they decided to take me to a meeting they like to go to on satuarday nights. We all caravan over there, there were 2 RX-8's, mine (the manual) and my cousins friend's (the auto), there was my cousin's fiance (he had a jetta 1.8t, he seemed to like mine so he got one too), and another cousind and her fiance (yes everyone is getting married except one of my cousins) they were in a WRX non-STI. We drove to the meet and was I pleasantly suprised. It was a Huge parking lot with over 100 cars and well more people than that! It was very similar to the meet we have here every friday but it was much more exciting cause over here they kick you out at 10:30 over there the cops dont care, they just patrol to make sure no one is racing, but none the less people were doing donuts, burining out, playing loud music, some were dacing in the parking lot. other people, like myself made some new friend by talking with people, it was so much fun and it was incredible the way so many people can get together in a non sanctioned event like this and not break out into an argument or a fight where they have to settle it by racing (they were all nice up there, even the punks were cool!) And the cars they had OMG! the cars ranged from muscle (Mustangs, GTO's, Trans ams, Camaros) to imports and euros, they werent segregated either like here, they were mixed in all getting along all talking about their cars, everyone sharing informations, everyone learning new things they didnt know of before. I just couldnt get over it and I didnt want to leave, but I had to get going cause I had an early morning for the autocross the next day.

On our way back home I get a call, from Musashi, he was saying how he saw on the weather that it was going to rain up here tomorrow and that he doesnt think it would be worth the 2 hour trip to compete in the autocross if it does rain so he said he probably wouldnt make it. I tried to convince him and told him to give me a call at about 5 in the morning so I could tell him the weather report, but I didnt think it was going to rain cause it was so nice outside that night and it was nice and chilly. This call bummed me out on the way back to my cousins house.

Well I woke up at 5 AM waiting for the call, nothing. At around 6 I called him hoping he might be on his way and that he changed his mind, his answering machine picked up right away. So I called another friend of ours to see if they were coming cause he was supposed to join us as well, again nothing. I made one more phone call to see if maybe he was almost here, cause lets face it I know that I get bad reception in this area, that was at 7 AM and so I just gave up. And by that time I was supposed to head over to the autocross, but I had lost all the excitement in those 2 hours that I had built up all that week and just didnt want to go anymore. I did get a call from the friend I tried to reach after musashi and he said to me that because of the chance it might rain that musashi didnt really want to go so I said okay, but no call from musashi.

It didnt rain the whole day, it was bright and sunny and at a very nice 75 degrees outside, according to the temperature guage in the RX-8 so I just went with one of my cousins to walmart and different movie stores seeing if there is anything interesting to buy for the trip home.

I was telling him it wasnt going to rain, cause the night before was beautiful, very clear, you could see the stars, nice and breezy, the temp was at 68 degrees.
