|
no fuel comming out of injectors
i got fuel all the way up to the injectors but nothing after the injectors. could it be a relay
|

Fried ECU? If so and you have a 91-94 turbo I have a spare.

 Build on hold until I get a good paying job, either in school or once I get out. At that time a full tear down and complete rebuild should be in order. The Purple People Eater will ride again... January 2011 can't come soon enough.

injectors arn't clogged and when it was at the garage they said the ecu was fine. but located beside the ecu was a relay according to the hayse manual on the car it said it was the ecu,fuel pump and fuel injector relay. that it supplies power to all 3. has anyone heard of this!???

The relay that you referred to controls the ecu and fuel pump, but not the injectors. How do you know that there's no fuel after the injectors? Have you tested them?

i pulled the fuel rail out and hit the ignition.
according to the hayes manual it says it supplies power to the injectors. and with the car cranking over and everything put back together there is no power to the injectors. but all fueses are good.

Mitchell On-Demand says nothing about relays/fuses/etc. that control the injectors. How do you know they don't have power, how did you test them?

unplugged the wire from the injectors, and put mu voltmeter into the plug with car ingnition on and again with car cranking over.
car runs if u spray ether into it. and it is getting gas to the fuel rail.

so far the only car i can find that relay on is the 90 - 92 talons the eclispe dont have them.

the car will start up and run if you spray starting fluid in it? how long does it run after that?
i had the same problem with my 91 gs, couldnt get it to run at all, i had spark and fuel to the rail. i got it to run once with starting fluid, drove it around and it drove fine, i went about 9 miles, and it was fine, came home, shut it off, and it wouldnt start up again. my ecu was shot.

as soon as the starting fluid is burned out it shuts off.
